I don’t want to do it myself

We live in the Do-It-Yourself Age. Checkout your own groceries in the supermarket. Transfer money yourself with your banking app. Make an appointment with the dentist yourself on her website.

Not too long ago, someone else did it for us.

I’m not saying I want to go back to that time. Being able to do all these things myself has its benefits.

But I don’t want to do everything in life myself. I like it when someone takes care of me. Is that selfish? Or simply a basic human need?
