Meeting expectations

I knew what I would be getting and still I enjoyed the experience. The other day my girlfriend and I watched a Liam Neeson flick on Amazon Prime, The Marksman.

It’s a typical Liam Neeson action movie/thriller. A good hearted, seemingly everyday guy gets into a bad situation and at the end of the day, this reluctant hero saves the day.

Ever since he made the now classic action movie Taken, Liam Neeson has become an unlikely action movie star. There’s something about him that makes him really believable as the star of action flicks. The Marksman may not reach the level of Taken, but it was still quite enjoyable.

When I want to stream a movie at home, I’m usually not looking for the next Oscar-winning film, I just want to be entertained. To me, the name Liam Neeson, when combined with the action/thriller genre, is synonomous with time well spent. He simply never disappoints.

Sometimes creating a good experience is nothing more than meeting expectations.
