Finding happiness
You can have a basket filled with chocolate eggs if you are willing to find them. This is what we teach our kids every year at Easter. I realized there are two interesting life lessons hidden in this tradition.
One, in order to find something you want, you can’t stay in one place. Those eggs aren’t going to find you, you have to find them. You have to get off your ass and look in different places. Really look. This can be applied to your career for example. Don’t expect your dream job to find you, you have to go out and look for it.
The other lesson is that with time and perseverance your search will be rewarded. The Easter Bunny may not be real, but those chocolate eggs are very real. Today my daughter and her cousin’s search was rewarded, they found all 44 eggs hidden in the garden.
That’s a hopeful message, right? Search and you will find it eventually. Happiness is hidden somewhere, we just have to be able to spot it.
