Simply amazing

How do you create a delightful experience? An amazing experience even?

It’s actually very simple.

• Step 1. Get to know your audience/customer/user/whatever-you-wanna-call-them, through and through.
• Step 2. Write down their deepest desire: something they don’t even dare to dream of.
• Step 3. Make that happen and give it to them.

That’s it. That’s all there is to it. Simple right? But like most simple things, to actually do it is pretty damn hard. Which makes the latest Spider-Man movie even more, well, amazing.

Last night I finally saw Spider-Man: No Way Home in the theatre. While the movie ticket was only about 11 euros, the experience was absolutely priceless. I haven’t had a smile on my face this big since Avengers: Endgame. I won’t give anything away, but for a superhero fan like myself, it was simply unforgettable.

What makes the folks at Marvel (plus Sony, in this case) so smart, is that they have the guts to simply follow steps 1 through 3.
