Time to think
I often think to myself: I need more time to think. About my priorities, about my goals and my system for achieving them.
But then when I do have some time to think, my mind easily wanders. To what I’m going to cook for dinner. Hamburgers?
Sometimes it wanders to gloomy places. It’s so easy to think about the negatives in today’s world. The mind is not always a fun place to be.
A better place to be is in flow. When you’re not thinking but doing. Especially when it’s something you’re good at and it’s fun. Building a Lego set. Reading a book. Cooking hamburgers.
So maybe I don’t need more time to think. Maybe I need more time to do.
Writing is also an activity. When I think about it, writing is my way of turning thinking into doing.
Does that make sense? What do you think?
