Will things ever get easier?

I thought it would get easier. Life, I mean. I thought that as I got older, I’d get wiser and more resilient. Well, I’m still waiting.

Maybe I am getting more resilient but I can’t notice it, because the world is also getting harder to endure. How many more crises can we expect?

This reminds me of how smartphone batteries have become greatly more efficient and smaller in the past decades. But at the same time, our devices are asking more and more power from them.

Faster CPUs, bigger screens, constant connectivity. Which makes it look like batteries aren’t getting any better. They still only last a few days.

Unless we cut back on things that drain power. And live a simpler life. I want to want less, but it’s damn hard.
